    I don't get using sweetened condensed milk for caramel...if you're going through all the trouble to make caramel, why not make actual caramel? It just doesn't look very caramelized...it's so pale.

    I made this today and it was delicious albeit veeeery sugary, so share it with others instead of eating all by yourself ;) In case you can't find some of the (non-US) ingredients, substitute: - Corn sirup with maple or rice sirup - Brown sugar with cane sugar which you mix with some molasses - Kosher salt with regular salt, just much less of it as it's more potent
